Norway Household Consumption MoM
The index of household consumption of goods in Norway is used to track the growth of household consumption of goods (durable and non-durable). The index does not include the consumption of items by households in other countries, such as cross-border shopping.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the NOK while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the NOK.

Norway's central bank left its key interest rate unchanged on Thursday despite signaling an easing in the previous policy session in January, citing a stronger than expected acceleration in inflation and the uncertain economic outlook but continued to hint at the possibility of a reduction during the course of the year.

Norway Central Bank Holds Rate; Set To Loosen Policy In March
Norway's central bank left its key interest rate unchanged as widely expected on Thursday and reaffirmed that the rate will likely be reduced in March as rapid rise in business costs could stoke inflation ahead. The Monetary Policy and Financial Stability Committee of Norges Bank decided to hold the policy rate unchanged at 4.5 percent.

Norway Central Bank Keeps Rate Unchanged As Expected
Norges Bank left its benchmark rate unchanged on Thursday and suggested that the policy rate will be kept at the current level until the end of this year although the time to ease is approaching. The Monetary Policy and Financial Stability Committee, headed by Governor Ida Bache, decided to hold the policy rate at 4.50 percent.
